Montipora Setosa, though not the Tyree one. This one branches more than the Tyree, which I have on the other side of the tank. I actually like this one better than the Tyree, its one of my favorite corals.

here's the browned out RP i picked up less than a week ago. My camera is like 4 years old so the pics aren't too awsome.
Looks like a nice one, hopefully you'll keep us updated as it grows! What lighting and positioning do you have yours in?

Awesome growth from a small brown frag. I just bought a nice frag from a guy that was tearing down his tank for $20. It was pretty brown in his tank and for some reason it bleached in my acclimation/dipping process. Still has all the polyps, but the tissue is almost all white. Never saw any tissue loss, it just bleached. I put it on the bottom and will hope for the best.

I was changing the water tonight and the camera happened to be laying nearby so I took a quick top down shot. Well, semi top down, still at a slight angle.

Thanks! Yeah those are a type of branching setosa, they don't encrust the same way the Tyree setosa does but branch a lot more, kind of like a birdsnest.

Alright, here are the setosa pics!
The first one is a close up of the larger of the two setosas that can be seen in the picture I posted earlier:
And here is a shot of a Tyree Setosa that I have on the other side of the tank, just for comparison's sake. This one was not shown in earlier pics:
The Tyree is much pinker and has a totally different growth pattern. These corals do get pinker color with higher lighting and more of an orange with lower lighting though. But these two are getting right about the same amount of light.
I love both of these corals, two of my favorites in the tank!
