ORA Miami Orchid Staghorn Question

I recently got a steal on a 2" frag for $10 and placed it lower in the tank with my water flow hitting the glass and landing right on the frag, giving it the indirect flow. I've had it for about a week or so now with no problems, water parameters are perfect. My question is though, since I cannot seem to find any substantial information on this, I looked at it this morning and noticed at one of the tips, it looked to be like an anemone sticking out for the one of the tips which hasn't been there until today. Is that normal for it to have that or what could it be? Anyone with any experience on these, please inform me.

I took a picture if you look closely, the back branch on the far left of the frag is where it is at.

Not a very colorful coral to begin with. Placing it high you will get some colorful tips. Placing it low you'll most likely have a brown coral in your tank.

Yeah place it up high under your lighting and it will turn into a nice purple with brown base. It took mine nearly 4 months to color up after moving into my tank but it is looking good.
