ORA Platinum Picassos

BTW. the first pair ever sold (from what i understand atleast) was sold today for 300 each or 600 for the pair. it was at one of my LFS

They are ok, i quite like them, there's a big thread in reef discussion on them, most folk don't seem to like them much.

Oh man. They look like they've been soaked in bleach. :sad2:

It is sad what this hobby has come to!

That's the truth!!

Next up, clowfish that have been injected with anemone DNA so they glow under blacklights. "Glo-n-sho Nemo"

everyone needs to relax, geez they are living animals and they look happy, they would be swimming backwards or upside down if they were ill, dang give ora credit they did and awsome job creating a new species, look we never had piccasso's and now everyone wants one........ all this talk about poor guys and ewwww but if they cost $10.00 each you would have one in a heartbeat, dont lie to yourself....

i agree with oceancube78... people are more disgusted in the price of them then anything. the white coloration is from selective breeding, possibly inbreeding but i figure with a company like ORA inbreeding wasnt done. if your breeding picassos with picassos your eventually going to get a morph like "platinum"

same with naked clowns..

with exclusivity comes increased price; the same holds for most products, and sadly, fish.

I think they are kind of neat, but I like the Picasso look better.

no, not new species
lol thats what i thought at first, my wife looked and them and said "oh no not more money" lol she knew i already wanted them....

They're okay. To each his own of course. If they were the same price, or even less, than Picassos, I would still choose Picassos. But to some these fish will be worth every bit of their asking price. That's the great thing about capitalism! :)

it's like someone used an eraser and erased off all the orange, haha. I could see the scales on those clowns. And pretty soon, they'll have ones that are completely white! :)
