This thing is looking crazy. No idea why or how the swirls developed, but I was wondering if this has happened to any of you.

Hmmm, are you talking about the blue and green swirling??? If so, mine does that too...

Thanks everyone! I'll try and get a closer pic. I don't think they put them out anymore, but I'm sure you can get it from a local or on RC.

Al - Yup. That's the one I got from you. It's finally starting to grow and encrust after almost loosing it a few times.

what's your secret with the Purple Pillow??? it's probably the most finicky coral I've got...

mine is also finicky. when i got it, i got 2 frags, and 1 died immediatley. and i think i've given out over a dozen frags, and they have all perished at one point or another except for the frag gadgets now has.

the colony i got mine from also recently perished.

i've had my colony go through some STN events in which i was sure i was going to lose it, but somehow i keep bringing it back from death.

out of the past year, its only been happy for about 2-3months max...lol. i can tell it isn't happy as its just a drab brownish green color with light lavender tips.

Dave - No secret that I know of. Just over-skimming, feeding a lot, and I keep my alk around 7-8dkh. I really think it likes a lower alk, but that's just my opinion.

Al - Yeah, I know what u mean i almost lost this frag twice.

Randy - Looks awesome! How long have u had yours? Whats your alk like?
