ORA Red Planet

On DD, the one that just went up. I clicked on the email and went to it ASAP, but I was told it was sold 5 minutes after I got the email (which was in the future as I got the email at 1912 and it was sold at 1817)?

Did this happen to anyone else? What's the trick because I want one of these Red Planet acros and DD seems to have the best looking ones :(

Probably in the wrong forum, but at least you admit it. ;) I often get the Diver's Den update emails several minutes (sometimes even 1/2 hour or more) after the items have gone up on the site. Either they send it to so many people that they all can't go out instantaneously, or your e-mail failed to deliver it for a little while and the item was gone by the time the e-mail finally showed up at your inbox. Sorry you missed it, but DD has nice Red Planet frags for sale all the time. Keep an eye out and I'm sure you'll have one within a few days.

I got mine at Saltwaterfish. Grew fast in a year.

I get my emails about 5 min after items get put up,best I can tell you to do is sit there around 4:30 and refresh the page every 30 seconds.People out there will do anything for a coral,fish,invert anything.Just my advise.
 
If its on an original ORA plug then they get theirs from ora just like all the other stores, they might just look better due to lighting and them taking the pic from top down. It grows so well I cant believe its still in such high demand, no one local can hook you up? I and a local near me usually sell them for 20-25.
 
Yea the ora red planets are pretty widespread now. Just get it local, if your tanks good it should color up nicely
 
Funny thing happened tonight, my mom brought me an ORA "Mars" (what it is being sold as at my LFS) and I could not find a thing on it anywhere, not on ORA, google, here... nothing at all.

Then I went back to google to type in "red planet aka mars" and then it dawned on me:
Mars is called the Red Planet.

So I actually have a frag as of today, it's about 2 inches tall and looks pretty good once the polyps opened.

The only thing that worries me is I think it was a bit mishandled when the plug was shortened; there was some wierd 'fungus' looking thing around the base where it encrusted down on the plug. But it has pretty darn nice PE after about one hour in my QT, so I am crossing my fingers.

*And please tell me I was right in assuming that Mars = Red planet :p *

makes sence to me

as for the fungus are you sure its not just the slimey stuff sps shed when in and out of water?
 
I am almost positive, unless all the previous slime I have seen before was only mild. This stuff was thick, almost paste like.

Either way, I am getting some frag clippers this weekend.

My question is RP tabling or not? Mine does not grow like it will table, can I do something to make it happen?

Be patient. Probably that new branch on the left will grow out into a "hand" facing palm up with short fingers, the beginnings of a table.
 
I posted a thread on my local forum MASC in CO and had few frags pop up. buy it local gotta be a few farmers near you. paid 20$ for half inch frag...GL

Sorry dude, I got that one. I missed out like you did the day before. The frag posted way before the e-mail went out. They offered another frag of it tonight.

Veryyyy sexy. Im in the waiting process of my tank to finish leveling off / maturing. All i get to do is gaze at all your guy's tanks. Makes me sad
