I have noticed that my 2 orange caps have been kinda pale lately I am dosing 2 part 1 -2 times a week, cal 400, alk8.2 trace phos, is thier anything that I should do. this is a 65 gallon 200watts pc and a 175 mh running. Everything else is growing like a weed and great color.

no just the these 2, thats what I cant understand, the only other thing I noticed was my purple digi looks like it has some brown algea on it.

What is your history of Cal and Alk? I had an issue with my caps and determined that it was a rapid change of my ALK.

it has been pretty consistent maybe only dosing 1 -2 times a week could be the problem then, guess i could try dosing more often less qty

Consistency in key, but do look closely at your Montis and make sure theyre not being parasitized by nudis. If so, they will usually go pale, or brown, and start to lose color in general. Take a long, hard look at them.

i second that was going to say the same thing...

Theyre really small, and hard to see without knowing what ur looking for. They are basically whitish-brown, really frilly like a hedgehog, but tiny (2-5mm), and usually found around a white die-off margin on your montis. Just FYI

What other corals are in the tank? We have noticed with our tank that we have a very large toad stool leather plus a good sized finger leather. We have lost a pink birdsnest plus an orange cap, we feel the leather is releasing too much toxin.

I would not think the leather would release enough toxin to KILL the monti. To stress it a bit, maybe, but not kill it. I would even think a Monti cap wouldnt even be TOO stressed by a leather. They are durable corals to say the least. As long as the skimmer is up to snuff and the system is clean, the leather is probably not the culprit. JMO

is the gsp that bad Pedro? I just placed mine next to my pipe organ which has been doing real nice lately. They seemed to play well yesterday when I did it as I watched it most of the day.:)

is thier a pic of the little bugs I cant see anything but unless you know what your looking for I might be overlooking it, I have sps, lps, aniome, frog hammer, leather, mushrooms, but nothing is hitting these corals that are stressed they are above all others.
