orange echinos

are orange echinos "rare?"

i've always had a thing for echinos, but i've never had an orange echino. when i saw a good size colony at an LFS, i was about to pay a lot of money for it, but they wanted trades only. are they really that rare?

i'll post pictures when i get a chance, but i'd like to see some pictures of any orange echinos floating out there.

No, not really. Actually the "Orange Crush" variations are pretty common these days. I've even received them as freebies with frag orders but there are orange echinos and then there are orange echinos. The best ones IMO are the totally orange ones with green mouths and white streaks. The lesser ones won't be completely orange, usually they're mottled with brown, purple or green.

The orange crush you are talking about is an acan not an echino.
