can someone please circle the envy ornge a.k.a $600 polyp:uzi:

the big polyp left of the orange ones that are half way open at the very front right touchin the glass, right under that amazing acan lord.

id either;

wait a couple years until no one cares as much and the price drops to sensible.

or find out where the come from, put a vacation on a credit card, go to the land of Envy Orange People Eaters, find some, frag it up, come home with 20 ployps, keep one, and gross $11,400.00 - travel cost!

they grow soooooooo slow that by the time you could frag them nobody will probably want to pay you as much as you paid origionally!

thats why everybody "out" until 08', they need serious time to grow. like one baby head will pop up every 6 months to a year, if that.

id still like to know where these things come from.

not $600 a polyp sweet IMHO:rolleye1:

If you collect zoa/palys like I do, then yeah, they are that sweet.

And I dont think theyll be going down in price unless someone comes across a huge colony. Ive only seen these go up in price. They went from $100 per to $600 per in maybe 3-4 months last year.

yea, pretty much a valuable rock you got yerself there.

are those OPE or RPE? anyone?

reguardless, they're frekin sweet!:D

wonder if you could carry on a 5 gallon bucket and one of those battery powered heaters.....

ill buy the bucket and the heater. you just gotta come to colorado first!:D

I'm still not convinced that there is only one specific variety that falls under the exclusive title of Envy Orange PPE.

There was a thread a while ago where one of the original owners was showing his off, and justifying the high price. Then someone posted a photo of a tank in Japan that had a bunch of the same. Original guy, in order to protect his investment, had to insist that these new ones were 'not authentic'. It all seemed like a scam, especially looking at the photos side-by-side.

If you're about to put down $600 for a polyp, then PM for a bunch of great penny stock picks. You'll make millions, I promise. Oh, and only I can pick the authentic winners

in my personal opinion i dont think that a single polyp of any paly or zoas is worth 600$ unless it tell jokes of the day.

i guess that they are woth 6 bills a polyp if you can convince some poor sap to pay that much!

but hey, im all about capitolism. if you can sell them for $600 a pop, by all means. its a sellers market.:D

i think like anything though, its just a current fad. give it time, and the discovery of something cooler to drive those prices down, down down....

while i agree with most of your post...i'm gonna have to disagree with the last part.

i think they'll remain at $600/polyp for a while, as they have for almost the past 2 years. (actually, it used to be $200, then $300, then $400/polyp if i remember correctly).

of course, people tried to capatilize on this high price tag by fading out their RPE's with bright 10k lights, and then selling them at $100/polyp.....i know there are some people that got burned (of course they will never admit to it).....but most people were smart and didnt buy into being a gullable buyer.
