Orange Spot Butterscotch Snail

I agree on the species identification and as such, would not consider them to be reef safe as they are a Whelk, most likely feeding on other organisms in your tank.

Yes, they can turn predatory on you, and are fully capable of becoming killers, even though they usually scavenge.

I ended up getting 3 of these guys, I am moving them to the refuge assuming they will not eat pods :) However what would be the best way to feed these guys? They are very interesting to say the least.
 
They'll scavenge meaty foods like Nassarius do, and may eat vulnerable critters like Stomatella snails, and other molluscs if they get hungry enough.
