Orange spotted Gobies

I saw a pair of Orange-spotted gobies in a tank at an LFS. They were not paired when they came into the LFS. They seem to be getting along and hanging out together, even using the same burrow that they made. I'm interested in getting them as a pair.

My question is will they stay a pair when I put them in my tank?

If you see them in the same burrow together than I would assume they are paired. I want a pair of prawn gobys so bad. there so cool :)

thx. I wasn't initially planning on getting a pair until I saw these two together.

That happens to me all the time...I think I've got a stock list worked up, and all of a sudden "Oh hey...that looks cool..."

I picked my two orange spotted gobies from a tank that contained many by finding two that seemed to be sharing a burrow. They have remained as a pair in my aquarium.

The smaller (which I assume is the female) disappears for 3-5 days every week or two. I assume this is some kind of breeding behaviour. I used to be concerned whenever "she" disappeared...now I'm used to it.

^^^^^ very nice. Is there a way to encourage them to make their burrow towards the front of the tank where one can observe them?

Make the sand deeper in the front of the tank. Or just one pile of deep sand in the front.
