Orchid dottyback

How aggressive is this fish and what are some of the fishes that are compatible?

Mandarin fish, candy basslet and clownfish all ok?

I have 3 tank bred orchid in 3x3ft tank. All get along with my fishes well but they will fight with each other sometimes when newly added. Got them to spawn twice too. Tank bred usually less aggressive.

When I had one it was a very shy fish. Always darting into the rockwork whenever I came near the tank. Got along well with other tank mates. It's one of the more docile of the dottyback species.

 

[Ambition]

They are very mild tempered, IMO. I have three wild caught specimens right now, one pair from DD and another individual in a separate tank from LA, and they aren't aggressive at all. My pair from DD are still reclusive, hiding in their caves but will be out and more active once I'm seen as the food provider. My LA specimen is in a 10g tank for QT with a pair of clownfish, truth be told the clownfish own the tank. Save the times when the orchid is very hungry and grabs food from the clownfish's mouths.
