Ok, I have a problem. I tried placing an order with etropicals.com, but they don't ship to Canada. Any good online retailers that ship to Canada????? I am looking to order a clean up crew package.
How big is the tank? I don't like most of the online packages, anyway, since they have animals I wouldn't want to keep, and most of them have far too many animals for them to survive long.
Well, I'd probably start with 6-8 Trochus, 6-8 cerith, and maybe 24 Stomatella snails. If the substrate is fine sand, a sand-mopping cucumber like a tiger tail (less toxic than many other cucumbers) or one fighting conch might be useful. If there's a decent LFS anywhere nearby, you could add snails on an as-needed basis.
How about some blue leg hermits to go along with the snails? I know...I know...they might kill a snail here and there to steal it's shell, but I think they are beneficial members of a clean up crew, are they not?
