Ordering snails?

I called on thursday to get a price on 50 nassarius snails. You have a special on them now for $30. Shipping to my zip code is $29 plus $7 box charge. What I didn't ask was how many snails could I order before the shipping and box charge would change. I couldn't justify paying the same for shipping as the animals. So I'm thinking if I order a larger quantity I'll save in the long run because I can triple up with a couple other reefers. eric

Hi,

Shipping is quite expensive right now due to the cold weather. We are using much thicker boxes then normal and they have dimensional weight, so it's 10 pounds charged weight from FedEX.

We can fit 4 medium size bags in this box, the nass. snails are so small that we can fit 50 in one bag, so you really could get 200 of them for the same shipping cost, or 50 nass. snails, and then say 25 baha, 25 margarita, and 25 hermits or something and take full advantage of that box.
