oregon tort placement/flow

I've had my oregon tort colony for about 2 months and placed on the sand bed with decent indirect flow. The color has faded but no signs of rtn/stn. I changed location to the middle level about 10 inches directly under halide with stronger flow from 6105 indirectly. Any recommendations as to best placement and flow? Is this too aggressive of change?

oregon tort always gets the best placement in my tank. most light most randomized indirect flow hitting it. color stays and it can take a beating with flow.

+1, mine is on primo real estate. High light and flow. Hasn't done much in the couple of months I've had it but it's certainly retained that deep blue color. Most intense color of any of my corals!

Having seen the original surviving half of Oregon Tort grow over the years it is hands down the most painfully slow growing coral there ever was lol.

I have seen it get excellent growth under Iwasaki 6500k halides although it takes some time to color it back up, the growth response is much better.

I've heard that b4 about the Oregon tort being slow grower which is strange because I've found it grows pretty good for me and I'm not the best sps keeper going mediocre at best!
Maybe it likes higher nutrient that my tank has?

Let's see some pictures of it please!

The new placement might have been too high as algae is starting to grow on the tips. Turkey baster was able to blow off the algae but it's in decent flow so hopefully it's not algae growing on dead tissue due too light intensity. Alk is stable and other sps corals in the area are fine.

I have had a few in different tanks, I have had them at the top under strong lighting and at the lower third of the tank. IMO it's a pretty easy coral to color up and does well in different areas of the tank.
