Orphek PR156 Repair

Has anyone experienced failure of the electronic mechanism that sends power to the main LEDs on this light? I have two and swapped out the controller and eliminated the light as the problem. I also opened the controller and swapped the feed to the second timer and eliminated the timer as the problem. It would seem the "switch," if that is what you call it, or power supply between the timer and the main LEDs is not functioning. The part(s) does not have any markings I could find. Any one have any suggestions for a repair? The unit is out of warrantee and I wrote Orphek customer support to see if I could purchase the required replacement part(s) and have not received a response. Any help would be appreciated. I may be losing my mind but I thought Orphek sponsored a vender forum on ReefCentral? I'm pretty sure I was following it but can't seem to find it now.

I have had the same problem - control unit died shortly after purchase, was replaced, and died again 3 months ago.
Eventually got in touch with the Orphek rep through the sales e-mail address. Orphek no longer makes or services those controllers, so you are out of luck.
I now have 2 very nice Orphek lights, one working control unit, and about $1700 sitting on a shelf. They did offer to take back both of my units, and sell me 2 new Atlantiks at $550 per.
My new Maxspect 43" razor works beautifully.

I think not, I have noticed the same as well I do not see Orphek on the fourms anymore, I will see them this weekend at a show so i will ask.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Scott from Orphek, sales-2 at orphek dot com, got back to me today and was awesome! He obviously understands the lifeline their lights represent to a reef tank as he took time out of his preparations for leaving to attend a trade show in CA to assist me. He worked with me to determine the part malfunctioning, actually went into the warehouse to get it, explained what to expect while making the repair and shipped it, all while I was on the phone with him to make sure I got my light working days sooner. Not sure where the idea started regarding the state of their business, but my experience was very positive with a representative of the company (that is still in business) here in the US. Thanks again for your help and suggestions and thanks to Reef Central for this amazing tool to connect reefers especially in times of need like mine!

Good to hear, glad that they are still going strong. If you watch the you tube video on Orphek that was the other show that they have in the OC in Ca.
