osmalator problem

I bought an osmalator a little over a year ago. i am having a problem with it now, and need your advice. when the water drops in the sump, the pump kicks on and starts to dispense water. but after about 30 seconds the pump starts to lose power and it shuts itself off. i do not know what is wrong if it is the pump, or the electronics. i have checked the bottom of the pump to see if anything is caught in it, but it is clean.

The pump is either getting old or the wire is corroded or has a bad connection. I have seen the lead from the osmolator wick up water and turn black inside, this can cause it. Cut it back and resolder the ends after you get to shiny new copper. What is happening is the pump is drawing too much current and tripping the overload switch.
