Osmolator 3155.000 issue

As of last week my Osmolator is malfunctioning. It will register that the water is too low, as indicated by the red light, but the pump will not run.

If I turn off the power to the unit, turn it back on, and raise the float to sound the high water alarm, then the pump works and refills the evaporated water.

Turning the power off then on, without tripping the water level alarm, does not trigger the pump to run.

Please help as this is now a daily chore and the water level is not being maintained, causing fluctuations in salinity.

The Osmolator is at least one and a half years old, but has only been in use for four or five months.

Thank you,

The red too low light means it tried to run the pump for 10 minutes and has now shut off as a safety. The pump would come on with the yellow or amber pump on light. Generally what will trigger the red too low light is that the water level is so low that in the 10 minutes the pump is running (equal to about 2.5 gallons of water pumped) is not sufficient to top off the tank. Have you tried just raising the water level manually so not so much is needed? The too high float should not have any bearing on the operation of the pump except to turn it off when it is raised. Cycling the power should reset the too low condition.

I continue to face the same issue. The only way to activate the pump is to trigger the water level alarm (float switch) or cut the power to the unit for a few minutes.

There is a 20-gallon reservoir for r/o. If the unit is functioning properly, there would not be a pump run-time of ten minutes, ever.

Please help.

Please send it in, include the pump, controller and power supply. My guesses are the optic sensor has failed or the pump has failed. If available include a copy of your receipt, without the receipt warranty is by date of manufacture. Also include your current return address and phone number.
