Osmolator 5017 malfunctioning

My Osmolator 5017 has been working flawlessly for a month or so. It is now not working as when I power up, the green light turns on, then everything goes off. Then, a few seconds later, the red lights blink and it sounds an intermittent alarm. What is causing this?

I've been extremely happy with Osmolators and this is my second unit on a second tank. Now that it's not working, I'm very sad! It's one piece of equipment that I've grown to trust.

I read up on the issue and I've moved the wires around to take into account magnetic interference. I also checked the sensors and they appear okay. I know that they are not installed incorrectly because it's been working. I can't imagine it being water damage because it's mounted in a dry location. Do I need to send it to to determine the issue?

Try without the pump connected, if it stays on and shows normal status lights, it is a faulty pump and if it is just a month old it would be replaced under warranty.

Sure, but I might try one last thing, swap the power supply from your other controller, a weak power supply can also cause this.

Unfortunately, I swapped the power supply and still have the same error. Does the green light blinking 8 times mean anything?

The green light will normally blink during the delay between sensing the water level is low and triggering the pump (5 seconds). This is true for all units made since Nov 2011.

Please send it in, include the pump and power supply-
