Osmolator hooked up to Geo Kalkstirrer?

Am I wasting my time with the osmolator on this setup. I am trying to run this as a top-off through the kalk stirrer. Can this pump push the water through the stirrer and into the sump? It is a 500g system and the top off container is a 32 gallon brute pail. About 5 gallons per day evaporates. Do I need a stronger ATO system?

Yes in most normal cases it will work fine, the Osmolator pump included can actually handle a fair amount of head pressure for it's size.

You will likely need to have the Geo and reservoir below the sump for this to work, or you should pump up to the overflow box of your tank, otherwise you could get a siphon, so be careful with the install. Check valves will fail, especially with kalk so trust gravity, don't trust check valves. The osmo pump can handle 9ft of head pressure.

That was my post and pictures and its still running strong with the Tunze ATO and the kalk reactor on my 210g I moved up to. Have had no issues other than pump replacements 2 times over the last 6+ yrs I have been using the combo. Mine actually pushes over 7ft and up to the tank in my set up and has no issues pumping a nice stream in its small increments during the day. As Roger mentioned mine is pumped to the OF box on my tank and not to my sump but I still use the valves to prevent a siphon even with my line out of the water
