Osmolator output volume?

Does anybody know approximately what the gallon output per hour for the osmolator dosing pump is? And can it be put on a timer to dose only at night if using it for kalk dosing?
Thanks.

The pump itself is rated for 13.7 US gallons per hour with a Headmax of 86.6 inches. As far as being put on timer we will have to double check with Roger on that one. Please be patient with us as Roger is in Germany and will be checking in when he can to help me with the questions that I cannot answer.

You can use a timer but if you are using it with the osmolator this defeats some of the safety and normally it doses so little you will not see a real impact on the pH unless the tank is very small and in that case it would be a bigger impact to make a large dose when the timer kicks on.

I have a 30 gallon tank and am trying to understand the mechanism and time intervals the unit uses to limit the amounts dosed at one time. I evap about 1/3 gallon per day and would like to spread the dose over a period of time and of course in the nightime to limt Ph swings. Is this possible with the stock unit?
Thanks.

The eye of the unit which turns the pump on and off is quite sensitive. I have never measured but would say the water line would only vary maybe 1/10 to 1/16 of an inch before triggering the pump, really does not take much evaporation to do it.

Thanks for the help. Is there actually a timer with the unit and if so what parameter does it control.
Thanks.

Yes, it is built in, it only allows the pump to run for 10 mnutes it is the secondary safety if the optic snesor and float were to fail.

Sorry for so many questions but does the timer allow it to only run for 10 minutes per hour or 10 minutes each time it calls for water or another parameter?
Thanks.

The timer will let it run about 10 minutes before failing into failsafe mode. It will then need reset to start again.
