osmolator problem. 4 months old

I've had the osmolator for about 4 months. The alarm will go off every 3 weeks or so, and the unit will not shut off the water. Why is this? I always clean it and there is no air bubbles on it. It's very frustrating because it always goes off at night. The alarm has gone off 5 times now and I'm sick of it.

What should I do to fix it? It's only 4 months old.

I appreciate the help. Thanks.

Does the water level go past the white float or does it stop bringing in more water at that point? If it goes past the white float are you pumping to your sump, if so is there any chance it could be siphoning occsionally?

There are several possibilities, but I would first rule out a siphon, if your water level in the reservoir is above the end point on the hose, it will siphon until the level is equal after the pump shuts off.

It's not a siphon. And I make sure no air bubbles are settling on it. I'll continue to watch it, to see why it happens. In the meantime:

To your one question shawn, the water goes a little past the white valve. Also, I pump the water up to a sump. The hose is a couple inches above the water line of the sump. So it's not siphoning.

Thanks for the help. Let me know if you can think of any other problems and I'll check on it.

Is the sump positioned above the reservoir? The only relevant points for a siphon is that the end point of the hose at the sump is above the water level in the reservoir, if not, you will get a siphon, regardless of the hose being above the water line, that would only prevent a back siphon.

The reservoir is below the sump. I have the main tank on a stand, next to that is the sump a little lower than the main tank. Then on the floor I have a 5 gallon bucket that holds the top off water.
I pump the water up to the sump, I do not think this is a siphon issue since it works fine for 2 weeks and then fails again.

Thanks again for the help.
