osmolator problem

I dont know if anyone can help, ive got problems with my tunze osmolator auto top up.

Bought it new on thursday and set it up, it worked a treat for 2 days.

This morning I woke up and heard this noise from downstairs, it was the high level warning sound from the secondary float switch, ran down to the tank and saw water level was too high, upto the brace bars.

I turned the unit of and let the water evaporate today back to a more normal level although its still high, but everytime I turn the unit back on it starts pumping water, the infa red sensor is under water yet its not sensing this?

I took everything apart, cleaned and put it back but the same thing happens?

Im really dissapointed as I did my research and thought this was the most realiable one, I need to feel I can trust it.

any suggestions?

Be sure that the hose is pumping up to the tank above the reservoir and that a siphon is not the culprit. Otherwise, new optic sensors repel water- it is the nature of new plastic- wash the sensor in hot soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth- careful not to scratch it. Also be sure that there are not a lot of bubbles in the sump.
