Osmolator problem

Two days ago when I got up I noticed that my osmolator had pumped all the water in my ten gallon resevoir out and into the tank. It can not siphon it out as my osmolator pump return is into the top of my tank. I corrected the problem and have the following problem. The yellow light only comes on if I unplug the power and plug it back on. The light comes on for a minute as well as the pump and it delivers water like it is supposed to. 30 - 60 seconds later the pump stops before the correct level is achieved. If I unplug the power and plug it back in it will do the sme thing. Any ideas? Pump works, and no siphon for the time it overflowed. Sound like a controller issue?

Hi Roger,

I just got home and my resevoir has been pumped empty again?..

I bought it last summer in 2008.

Is the safety switch being activated? I don't understand how it could pump all 10 gallons without the safety alarm and shut off being activated?

High Roger,

Yes the safety alarm works. When I lift the float to the top, the audible alarm goes off. Both the sensors are in the sump. It would have to pump probably 20 gallons (more then my resevoir) to activate the high water sensor. I don't know why I set it so high in the sump. I guess I was thinking more about an overflow instead of salinity when I placed it in the sump. Funny thing is it can't overflow because my resevoir can't hold that much.
