I have been using a tunze osmolator for over 4 months now to add fresh RO/DI water to my tank as it evaporates. Over the last couple of weeks I have had several episodes of the pump failing on me.
Basically it will just start making a high pitched noise and stops pumping any water. The only way I can get it to start working again is to turn off power to the unit and try and shake the pump a few times to get it to start working again. Then it will be fine for another week or so until it acts up again.
I'm really concerned about this because I'm going on vacation in a few weeks and I would hate to have it fail while I'm gone and come home to a messed up tank!!
What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks!
