osmolator pump humm

I have been using the osmolator with Ca dispenser for about a month and it works very well. But since 2 days the sound of the pump has changed. It makes more of a whinning sound like when it runs dry, but the reservoir is full of water and it pumps normally. I only pump RO/DI with it, but the sound has me thinking that the pump is damaged or something. Does it have a break- in peroid where the pump's sound may change?

The pumps change pitch at times, it could be air in the pump, it could have been moved so it is vibrating against something. It is also possible it is dying. It is really hard to say but time will give the answer. I would try tipping it up to release any air and try moving it so it isn't touching any hard surface.
