Osmolator pump problem

the pump worked great for about the first two weeks, now it does not pump well at all, the flow coming out is much weaker than it used to be and it will just stop pumping altogether before the water level has even reached the shut off sensor, at this point i usually have to disconnect the pump and wait a bit and sometimes it will kick back on and other times it won't at all.

any ideas?

Are there any air bubbles in it? Hold it upside down in the water and give it a good shake and see if that helps. The same thing happens to mine sometimes.

Check the connector, usually if this happens on a newer unit the connector got wet and has corroded. If the connector is OK it is likely the pump.

Flipped it upside down, no air bubbles came out, the connectors are wrapped in electrical tape to prevent water damage so I don't think that is the case.

Do you think it may have been because the water level was low in my reservoir? The pump was still fully submerged, but it seems that when my reservoir was filled back up the pump didn't just randomly stop like it was doing, but the flow is still a bit weak.

I just tested it and the problem is still happening, it just randomly stops pumping, the hose is not pinched at all, it is the RO type hosing which is fairly rigid.

At first I thought it may have been an issue with the check valve I have in place to keep the kalk reactor from back siphoning into my reservoir, so I tested it with a different check valve, and the problem is still taking place.
