Osmolator pump used with kalkwasser?

Can the osmolator pump be used with kalk water? or will it clog or damage the pump?

It will clog and damage the pump and voids the warranty of the pump, however the pumps are cheap and if you use a low dose and make sure the pump is suspended so powder cannot enter it will probably last almost a year.

I have been using the Tunze Osmolator pump to doze kalk makeup water (2 tsp/gallon) for 11 months and have not had a problem with the pump. I have the pump about 3" off the bottom of the kalk water tank to keep the sediment from being pumped. The pumps are pretty cheap. I bought a couple for replacement when mine eventually fails.
