Osmolator pump will run just after being plugged in.

My osmolator was working just fine, until sometime last week.

If I unplug the pump for a minute or two, then plug it in, it will pump.

After that, even when the light shows "pump on" the pump does not run again unless I unplug and plug again.

The controller will show "too low", but the pump does not kick on.

Any suggestions?

How old is it? Too low just means it tried to run the pump for 10 minutes and has given up/ timed out. Does the pump make a noise and pump no water or it does nothing?

It is approximately two years old. The pump runs immediately after plugging it, but then stops, and while the light shows "pump on" it isn't running nor making any noise, until eventually the "too low" light comes on.

If I unplug it and plug it again, it will run. If I do the unplug/plug in routine too soon after it last ran, it will run for a much shorter period.

It probably needs a new pump, the pumps usually last 2-3 years. They are about $24.

just ordered it, hopefully that put the issue to bed.

BTW, is there an issue with the orientation of the pump in the ATO container, my pump never stays upright, it lays on it's side
