osmolator question

My kalk is siphoning back into my top off bucket from the dispenser. I positioned the water suppy higher to combat it but it happened again . Is that a checK valve on the system that gets gummed up?? Or is it time to replace the pump??

Are you using the 5074 Calcium Dispenser? How is it installed, any photos?

BTW, the pump wouldn't be the culprit, it is either a check valve or hose routing.

thanks for your response Rodger. Yes I am using the 5074 dispenser. I wil try to get a pic together asap, I wil take another look at my hose routing in the meantime .

It could well be the check valve, we just came out with a new one that is much better made. Just be sure the hose is looped and routed as shown in the manual.

thanks or the help . I cleaned out the dispenser using a vinegar mixture and recirculated it through the system till some detrius/mineral deposits flushed out of the check valve window seems to be working fine now .I am planning on ordering a back up pump can I get a newer checkvalve at that time and will it fit right in the old spot?? thanks again for the quick responses, just another good reason to invest in TUNZE
