Osmolator Questions

I am having trouble with the pump that comes with the osmolator being able to overcome the drain back into my storage container that is located in my basement. What seems to be happening is the unit calls for water and by the time the pump gets the water pushed up to the sump the unit decides the storage container is empty. Is there a check valve that will work or do i need a better pump and if so what do you recommend? Thanks Mark

Hi,

Tunze offer Switched socket outlet 3150.11
(3150.110)
In the Osmolator and Osmomat, the enclosed low-voltage centrifugal pump can be replaced by this switched socket outlet in combination with a more powerful pump. The switched socket outlet can be used to switch metering pumps with 230 V (115 V), max. 1,800 W (900 W), such as Turbelle® 800/2, 1200/2, Master 1073.03 or a hose metering pump.

Regards
Graeme

It may also be worth noting that the calcium dispenser for the osmolator comes with a small check valve system to prevent kalkwasser from backflowing into your reservoir and potentially ruining the pump. It's just a small little thing that sits inline between the pump and the dispenser. Something like that may work well for you too.
