Roger,
A couple questions about the osmolator:
1) I had the optic sensor on the osmolator completely submerged for about a week. When I did a water change, I noticed that as the water level in the sump slowly dropped down to the side of the sensor the pump came on, even though the water level was not at it's normal height at the bottom of the sensor. Any logic to this? Is it that the wet glass is sensing air, a bio film is triggering the pump, or other?
2) Should I have the transformer on the 9v or 12v setting? What effect does each have on the pump life & flow rate?
Also, I have the new model where the pump comes on for 15 seconds. Awesome design on this thing. The more I learn about Tunze products, the better I feel about the safety of my tank.
Thanks,
Luke C.
