Osmolator Too High Alarm on constant

Hi, I am going away next week and thought I would set up my Osmolator so that i dont have to rely on anyone topping up for me. Anway, there are a bit of build up on the power jack connector & the controller box socket. So cleaned them with distilled vinegar & they are now sparkling and make good connection, but now the "water too high alarm" is constantly on even when out of water. Any ideas?

Likely some salt creep has shorted an internal connection, I would open it and check but usually once this happens it is toast. You might also check that the two high switch is not upside down or near a magnet.

I will take it apart again & gve the board a check. The controller had been sitting next to an electonic MH ballast. I did remove the magnet float section from the sensor section & still the alarm, so would expect its toast.

looks like i better see the bank manager (misses).

Any magnet will cause this alarm, if you see no salt inside, I would test it in the kitchen away from any magnetic field. If it works you just need to install it well away from the ballast and other magnetic fields.

Without the float magnet you would get an alarm. I meant no external magnets but the float should be fully assembled. Did you open it and check for salt damage to the board?
