Excellent focus capture - were you moving or did you have the shutter speed incredibly fast?

Man it looks like you were up there with them fly boys... so cool!

Thanks for the compliments. I took quite a number of pics, these are the ones that I think came out good. I'm still learning to improve on my photograhy.

Mike - I did move and snapped a few pics when the plane fly pass. But it was kind of difficult coz the plane will just swoosh right pass you in seconds.

norcalsig - I'm using the canon rebel xt.

Here are a few more which I like.

Dude!!!! nice pictures...i can even see one of the pilot picking his nose....:D i went yesterday, it was cool alright, my litttle boy was amaze and excited to see those planes flying over our heads..even though there was a bird hazzard and forced 1 of the plane to land and delayed the show..but over all it was a good show....i can still see the pilot picking his nose in your pic...nice clear shot bud..

I went to the drag races......and watched two for the price of one.

It was killer man!!!! I really wanted to see the static displays though. Any more pics of em.....

I felt old when they retired the F-14 Tomcat

I was there!!! Absolutely amazing show. Took the family last minute plans and forgot both cameras. Such a bummer!! Well worth the money parking and getting in. Great photos!!

Those ARE some great photos. For some of the ground photo's have you tried using a polarizer? They are great. But I guess with digital you can darken the sky in photoshop anyway. How long of a lense were you using? It did pull nice and close whatever it is! ;)

No sun burn here!! Had the 30 proof and cold expensive beer. :)

Cool, but is it sore from looking up? Airshows are hard on necks.

How are your necks? :D

Funny you ask, I have been sporting my heritage all week with a burn there.

Mental note: put the suncreen everywhere the sun is exposed to.

Guys, if you don't want to fight the parking next year and they land on the same day again, the drag races had PLENTY of easy parking.

I was suprised on how fast that Mustang could go, it looked like the F-22 wasn't having to slow up too much.

I should know this, and used to, but am having a mental fart.....is that a F-15 or F-18 with the Raptor and the Mustang........Its killing my pride to ask, but its been killing me........is this a sign of getting old? I swear its an Eagle, but am second guessing myself.

Parking was a breeze. No delay going in and getting out it took less than 10 minutes to get to hwy 50 from the time that we got into the car.

MUCH better than last year.

One of the planes flying with the Mustang is a F22 Raptor. You can tell by the rear wings angled outwards. I am not 100% sure but I think that the other plane is a F-15 Eagle.

With the debut of the F22 Squadron you can expect the US to supply the world/allies with new attack planes. Over time when we have a new squadron introduced to our armed forces we sell the previous generation/model type to other country's. Essentially we almost always have the better model and supply everyone else with technology that is a generation behind.

With the breakup of the USSR we lost one of our biggest competitors for selling Arms. Isreal is also starting to develop planes with technology that rivals ours. They long have been known for making top notch missles and guns. They have made many third party add-ons for US plains that have increased the effectiveness of those weapons far beyond what we delivered. This results in the loss of one of our biggest customers. Isreal has Squadrons of Apache, F15, F16 and F4 Phantom aircraft. (Not to mention special forces jointly trained/excercissing with the US and having significanlty more combat experience.... yes even with the gulf wars weve fought/dragged out over the years.)
