OT: Anybody want a Goldendoodle?

I hate that word. So stupid. Anyway, we just took in two Golden Retriever / Poodle mixes. The people we got them from paid 450 a piece for them. If you are unfamiliar with the breed, it's basically a hypo-allergenic Golden retriever. Super smart dogs that look like goldens, but don't shed and are ok for households where people are allergic to animal hair.

We took in a male and a female. The female has to go though. We already had a female golden and she is not liking having another female in the house. The dog we took in is doing fine but our dog is being very territorial, and keeps going after her. She is 1 1/2 years old. She was the runt of the litter, so she is small. She is dark in color. House broken, but may leak if she gets over excited (has happened once since she got here a week ago. She is up to date on all shots, she is spayed and comes with all vet records and the paperwork proving that she is indeed a Goldendoodle...aka designer mutt.

We are not asking for any money, just that she goes to a great home. If you are interested, let me know and I'll pm you my number.

Thank you to those who have PM'd. A member (I wont say who it is, if they want to say, thats up to them) is coming to look at her on Wednesday night. I will post whether they take her home or not.

She has been adopted. Thank you to all those who were interested and PM'd.

We were very lucky to adopt Olive. It all ready seems like she has been part of our family forever. Thanks for the opportunity Ryan. She is in a good home, with a loving caring family.

then why does she look so mad? kidding. Im glad she is doing well.

Very pretty girl there you are lucky to have her. We have two golden doodles and ours are a lot more different looking and kind of follows the typical doodle look

I think I caught her off guard with the camera, as she was napping on the pillow.. I think Olive is 3/4 golden retriever and 1/4 poodle if I read the documentation right. Anyways, she has acclimated well (no dipping required) and we are glad to have each other.

the whole doodle thing is kinda funny. i have a pudelpointer. an uncommon "purebreed" that's been around for hundreds of years. it's basically a german "pudel" and english pointer mix. i love my ugly dog. her father has a really nice beard.

Must not let the wife see this thread!

She's been talking about getting a dog on and off for years. When I remind her of my mild allergy she brings up the whole poodle mix thing...

Haha. I figured you'd chime in.

I don't have anything against dogs and I think we will probably get one some day, but at this point, with three little kids, it would be a handful to properly take care of one. Plus, we just put nearly WHITE carpet down ~2 years ago... Even without shedding, I can only imagine the stuff a dog would track across it.
