OT- Anyone into Ceramics?

Yeah...Don't you remember my sob story about my sister dropping it off at my house to "store" and then telling me 10 years later that she didn't want it anymore?

yes, but i wasn't picturing a state of the art piece of equipment...wow!

I loved throwing, did a bit at RIT, but haven't since. I should post some pics... You could probably mold the plugs out of clay and then fire them very easily. Bisque is probably enough. So who's going to go for it?

It's what I've talked about doing with the upstairs of my barn...pottery studio.

Well, from what I can see, kiln design hasn't changed much over the last 30 years, though this is more state of the art (all digital controls):

The current model Cress B23HT-240 is essentially the modern day version of the B-23-H that I have in my possession. Here are the product specs for it:

http://cressmfg.thomasnet.com/item/ceramic-kilns/manual-3/pn-1164?&seo=110

Honestly, I'm not sure what has changed between the B-23-H and the B23HT-240, but they even used the same picture for both kilns (I got my picture off of the Wayback Machine's year 2000 version of Cress' website).

In the end, it's still a bunch of steel wrapped ceramic that when you turn it on has fire in the middle of it. :furious:

Probably the same technology the cave men used...

Jason, you could take some of this dry wit on the road and make money...seriously...

okay..so who's it gonna be gang...i'm waiting for the YGPM...on this.

Just so I don't get yelled at for not posting a price, I'll ask $375 for it. It's really in amazing shape, and that's 30% of the current List Price of the B23HT ($1,250). Make me an offer (and remember, I have a brand new tank with lots of empty room it, so partial trades with coral frags will CERTAINLY be considered!)

As for my comedy skills, well, let's just say that if heckled my dry wit act would probably more resemble the live shows of Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Don Rickles, George Carlin, Chris Rock, and Sam Kinison (man I miss this guy)....Combined...

not bad company by any means....

go for it, dan!

Who knew I would sell my kiln on a fish site...

BTW, I'll even deliver it. I make my way to Buffalo quite often, so that wouldn't be a problem. Don't actually make it to Syracuse that frequently, but I do drive through there on a somewhat regular basis, so that is a possibility as well.

it is really becoming quite obvious to me that people who own reef tanks? are some of the most creative, imaginative and artistic people around.

.......and a lot of them own birds.
