Haven't seen you guys playing COD4 yet....what's goin on!??!?!?! :)

Sorry, but Mass Effect has had me hooked like a crack fiend... I'll be playing COD4 more often, once my brother gets off his lazy arse and gets a copy for himself.

LOL... but seriously, I'll be playing COD4 more often once I am done with Mass Effect, which shouldn't be too much longer.

I was so happy when I unlocked the "charismatic" achievement in that game (Mass Effect) last night... that was for resolving a potentially bad situation with my charm/intimidate skills that my character has gained throughout the game... I had a pistol drawn on me the whole time, and I had to talk my way out of being shot.

I let out a Ric Flair "whooooo!" once I got past this part of the game... my wife even asked me from the other room, "Is everything okay in there?"

^^^BUMP^^^

I read this article online today at work, during my lunch break... sounds like good news for those of us who are currently subscribed to Xbox Live... it's also good to see that Microsoft is taking a good approach to this situation.

"If you tried to curl up on the couch with a few Xbox 360 games over the holiday season, your day likely ended more in frustration than relaxation and excitement. The system was experiencing problems during the last week in December, resulting in many players who couldn't log online to the Live service for multi-player game play. However, Microsoft has been quick to appease its upset game-geeks by reportedly offering a free game download to all Xbox Live subscribers around the world, valued anywhere from US$5 to US$20. Further details will be available in the coming weeks.

Xbox Live General Manager Marc Whitten attributes the connectivity issues to a large number of new users trying to get online at the same time. I can believe it, given that video games, and likely Xbox Live service subscriptions, were hot gift items this year. What do you do after opening presents and stuffing your face with turkey? Kick back with some video games! Nevertheless, players I know were confused: why were routers, Internet connections, and PCs working, yet connection to Xbox Live wasn't?

I have to commend Microsoft on its quick response to the issue, and fully admitting its disappointment in having inconvenienced its customers. As for the upset gamers, I say as long as you didn't see a blue screen of console death, take the free game that's being offered and appreciate that these things can and will happen."

still waiting for you to get a 360

I personally advocate for everyone to get a 360, so that me and my selffish self can play on line with everyone whenever I want

Ya, that's called marriage

Seriously though, I'm on there at least 2-3 times a week. I keep waiting to play you in something Cr33p. You just let me know what you want to play and I'm there. Halo, COD, Madden, GH, rockband. Whatever, I'm all good to play. I tried that one game you wanted me to check out (The game with the long C word as a title). I was lost as he!!.

Let's play Madden. Trust me, you'll win, but I like the game. Or let's play GH.....well, I might win at that one ;) You've seen my skills there!

BTW, in case you're curious Cr33p, I'll be on there tonight.......sometime, probably after 8.

I may go play hockey at like 10:30, but maybe not if I can find a good game to get in to.

I know exactly what you mean... I'm in the same boat.

But honestly, I was just kidding around... I see you online more than what I said... that's why I included the winky smiley after what I said... kind of like an "I'm kidding" at the end of my post.

Anyway... I retired from playing Madden games a LONG time ago... just not my cup of tea anymore.

I knew you were kidding. You'll have to try harder then that for me to be offended, especially in an OT thread

Seriously though, let's game it on sometime! Get your brother, get Rockband, and well get a band!

Or just play GH.

I'll be online tonight, as well... my crack addiction, er, I mean my Mass Effect addiction, has been calling my name over the past few days... I think I am actually near the end of the story... I can't wait to start it again, only this time around I am going to be as evil as Darth Vader.

Then I need to make Tony happy and get my happy arse playing some COD4 on the PS3... I can't believe that I haven't even played that game yet!

COD 4 is cool. You'll like that. It's pretty technical. Ya, I still need to get Mass Affect. Too many games to buy......too much money to take away from my other addiction; Reefing.

I have been doing pretty well on COD4 in the 2 days I have played it. I have passed the tank capture section and gone 3-4 check points after that.....pretty cool game. I think it was well worth it.

this just in...

WARNER BROS go BLU RAY EXCLUSIVE

We've all been wondering what to make of those whispers that Warner was indeed going Blu-ray exclusive, and apparently, those rumblings are true. Based on a breaking release, Warner Bros. Entertainment will be releasing its high-definition titles "exclusively in the Blu-ray disc format beginning later this year." According to Barry Meyer, Chairman & CEO, the move is a "strategic decision focused on the long term and the most direct way to give consumers what they want," and he also noted that "the window of opportunity for high-definition DVD could be missed if format confusion continues to linger." Notably, Warner will continue to release on both HD DVD and Blu-ray until May 2008, but after that, it's BD for life for this studio. Oh, and while there's nothing official mentioning any sort of payoff, we're hearing that quite a sum was dished out to make this happen. Full release posted after the jump.

Super Mario Galaxy... without a doubt in my mind, the best Mario game I have played since I owned an N64 and Mario 64.

Definitely one of the best Wii games that I have played so far...
