So, I've been doing a lot of reading lately about Blu Ray, and I got to say, it surely does appear that they are planning to stick around for some time! Warner Bros, Blockbuster, ect.....they have some long term deals that don't look like they will be a fad. It may just be that they end up beating out HDDVD, but still that's good for them.
For now, I still like my up-convert DVD player and regular DVD's, but I'll admit it, I was wrong when I said I thought Blu Ray will just be a fad. It looks like it will be around for a while....but I still think this is only happening because Sony was smart enough to put Blu Ray on the PS3. If they didn't do that, Blu Ray would have died by now. Many many more poeple have Blu Ray players now, beucase of the PS3, that would not have thought about having one otehrwise. Smart move on Sony's part.

You're right, but I'm willing to bet that the blu-ray player that's in the PS3 is one of the more "bottom of the line" devices... just like their DVD player was back when the PS2 ruled the planet.

I cannot believe that Microsoft decided to release (the arcade version) of Tron... that game used to be such a friggin' classic back in the day. I'm glad that I didn't pay for the full version of the game, because after I played the demo, it suffers from horrible controls... it just doesn't play as well as it did on the arcade version.
I was disappointed, to say the least...

Not at all... the wife and I were just farting around last night, and we both figured that it's been weeks (if not a month) since we played Guitar Hero 3 last...
Super Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect have taken up lots of my gaming time over the past few weeks and/or months... I'm doing my second playthrough as a bad guy in Mass Effect. So much more fun being able to tell people off... the reactions on their faces are priceless!
Next game that I am going to purchase? Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii... at least that doesn't come out until next month!

Almost everyone on my Xbox Live friends list does, but I own a copy of the game on PS3... and I still have yet to play it. Been thinking about trading it in, since it doesn't ever get played... and I can probably get more in trade credit for it than I even spent on it when I picked it up the day after Christmas.
Still undecided, though...

I just found out that EB Games/GameStop is giving $30 in trade credit for COD4... on either the PS3 or 360... needless to say, I am seriously thinking about getting rid of it.
Still shocks me to see that Assassin's Creed is fetching $30 in trade credit at their stores, also... :eek1:

Cr33p, I got your message yesterday. I downloaded that demo. I'll check it out. I beat COD4 yesterday. Man....that game is awesome. Not Rockband awesome, but very very awesome in it's own right :lol:
I've downloaded a bunch of songs for Rockband from Live. They have some really good stuff there! "Blackened" and "And Justice for All" by Metallica are on there! Just awesome songs to play and have! Siva by the Smapshing Pumpkins came out this week. Wonderwall by Oasis is fun, My Sharona, Gimme Three Steps.....the list goes on and on. They have some great downloadable content for Rockband!
