Hey folks I need you help finding a good by low cost auto repair glass shop. Last night something broke my driver side window and I need to have it replaced. Most places want 200-250 to replace it but are not open today. If you know anyone that is cheaper and can do the work today please let me know. Thanks
Mario

there is no glass at all and its was not fun driving from riverside to santa ana last night.

Safelite... they will come to your house, work or school to fix it. Ive had pretty good luck but make sure they put the factory seals back on the trim of the windshield properly.

I think mine cost $180 for my '04 Honda Civic.

dOcdave, when you had yours done was it the windshield or the driver side window? Let me know cause they quoted me $189 just for the side window, which seems odd since mine is just the side.

Windshield.. sorry. Didnt read carefully... figured it was the windshield. Try them anyway.

Its costs more because it's more labor intensive to replace the roll-up window.

I got mine done from safelite also. It cost me $180. Mine was the driver side window. The guy came to where I work and took about an hour to install. He aslo vacuum and clean up all the glass in the car. I have a mitsubishi eclipes.

We have Safelite come to our house also. They cleaned everything up very well and did a good job.

Im interested to know too if anybody has any ideas...cracked front windshield

again it depends on how bad this is

Don't you just love when that happens! The window costs more than the stuff they steal...

Be sure to tell them to use the factory clamps that hold the window, the guy who replaced our driver's side window stole the factory clamps & replaced them with junk clamps and now it won't roll up/down

Go to Alvarado St. in LA. If I recall correctly, they charge $50 for side window and $99 for windshields.. "Starphire" would be more :D

your price will depend on the car manufacturer. it will also depend on whether you want a generic brand or the manufacturer brand. the generic brands will run you $30-$40 cheaper

thanks everyone. Had my window replaced today by safelite. Although it was expensive it was done really fast and window looks like it was never broken.
