OT Brett Farve

I saw this and thought all us Chicagoans would love it!

I want a quarterback before I laugh.

I was hoping Bears would pick up Matty Ryan, but I knew the Falcons would take him.

They need a QB more than us.

"...not to mention that your last two games in Chicago were 'packed' with interceptions and fumbles."

sorry SaraB:lol:

You hear the Pack offered him $20 mil over 10 years yesterday to stay retired. Jeez! They really don't want him back now.

Just craziness.

dont hate....as much as chicago would deny wanting him....they would love to have him....i love ignorant chicago fans that hate on him just because he was a packer.....look at chicagos 1/4 backs...... :thumbdown

oh and then look at good ole chicago fans again....booing Jim Edmonds on the Cubs....just because he came from St. Louis...but wait, isn't he one of the best players on your team now? again....:thumbdown

sorry if I offended some1 be jeez....Brett Favre is one of the best QB this league has ever seen..

Bret Farve is over rated. Jim Edmonds is no where near one of the best players on the Cubs. Ignorant Chicago fans? No need to call anyone names. Should Bears fans just looove him cause he was a packer? That makes sense.

Bret Farve is (was) over rated and fancies himself as the Michael Jorden of football but without the steller legacy. He should have gone out on top instead of the way he did. How many more years would the Bears get out of him anyway without injuries?

without injuries? hahaha saying this about the QB that holds the record for most consecutive starts....and still played while he was having problems....he may have thrown interceptions but who did he really have to throw to? and how many TD passes did he through like triple coverage while he was getting rushed...? I don't see Rex doing that...and to be honest Tom Brady I think is overated...yeah he has good numbersand is a great QB, but he is never under pressure...or at least until the last super bowl and then look what happened...he couldn't come through

Bears fans shouldn't love or hate him because he was a packer, but respect him for one of the NFL's greatest QBs... Wasn't calling all Chicago fans ignorant but rather ones that make comments like that just because he was on an opposing team....there is no denying that brett Favre was an outstanding QB

as for Jim Edmonds....at least he can hit, AND catch a fly ball...which is more than i can say for soriano... Im not saying he is THE best on the team......but he is definately in the top5 or 6

Anyone who says Farve is over-rated is ridiculous. I HATE the Packers (My dad has always been a packers fan, even when they had to deal with the likes on Lynn Dickey and Don Majkowski) so I have watched him for a LONG time.

Last I checked he has a super bowl ring, and holds the title for most yards, most touchdowns, and longest starting streak by a QB.

To say he is over-rated is just stupid. Just upset Bears fans that watched him torch your team for 10 years in a row.

He will be a first ballot hall of famer when he actually retires, and would start on 95% of the rest of the NFL teams.

Wait, he's over-rated. :rolleye1:

thank you! Amen

HAHA. Damn you Tony, why do you keep saying that. HAHA

I wish the team I cheer for had an "over-rated" quarterback like him the past few years, that would've been SWEET....

If the Bears had him at QB the past few years when their defense was actually good they wouldve had a much better chance at making it to the super bowl multiple times and possibly winning one.

So to say he is over-rated is just a ridiculous statement. Michael Vick was over-rated. If you have done NOTHING but are considered a role model or the face of a franchise, then you're over-rated. Brett Favre holds every record that you can judge a QB by, how is that over-rated ?!?!? :rolleye1:

I never said he wasn't very good. But he is over rated. He doesn't belong in the top 5 QB discussion, records or not. And I love how he morphs into Grossman in big playoff games, chucking up lame ducks off his back foot. I see a trend here...mustang guys with farve crushes. glad I sold mine :)

I didnt morph grossman into a play off game, that was brady, but
if you want to talk about grossman....well there is a reason why there is a competition for QB position in chicago...hes bad...

the guy in the article made this comment and its very true....favre hardly had anything to work wiht, not to mention that GM couldn't get along with him...

Look at what Favre was working with in the second half of his career: a coach who couldn't win a postseason game to save his life, much less his career (Mike Sherman); a young, and fairly bad, defense; and few playmakers on offense. Ahman Green isn't exactly a Hall of Fame running back. Donald Driver's a good wide receiver, and so was Javon Walker, but neither of them is in the same league as, say, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. And it's not like Favre could do much on the 4th and 26 that the Eagles somehow converted in 2003. If anybody didn't deliver, it was the rest of the team, not Favre.
And while the Cowboys fanboys are sitting here bashing...when was the last time you won a postseason game? In case you hadn't noticed, Favre STILL has more postseason wins since 1996 than you do. And he probably will for a couple more years, despite being retired.

Just for the sake of discussion, who do you think are the better QB's then Favre ???

I can think of a few, but he's damn close to being in the top 5... He might be 6 or 7 at the highest.....

Most people think im on crack when I saw that the number one QB is Montana though, so nothing suprises me...
