One of my favorites from a long time ago is The Northwestern Steakhouse in Mason City. It has been about 10 years ago since I have been there but the food was really good when I was there. I believe it is owned by Greeks....and I love that food.

I'm not sure if this is in the same chain as the place bullet's talking about, but there's a place in Ames called Cafe Northwest. It's also greek, and they have AMAZING steak. I'm pretty sure they're owned by the same people. It's located really close to the corner of Duff and Lincoln Way, right behind the Tip Top.

It's hard to argue with the results of charcoal or anything smoked. I find it hilarious when people say they cannot taste the difference between a gas grill and charcoal.![]()
