Ot: Car stolen

Just wanted to get the word out because I know a lot of club members live in the boro and a few in my neck of the woods. Last night on my street one neighbor had his truck rifled thru, stole a pocket knife out of it and stabbed his tires with it. A stolen car was ditched in front of my neighbors driveway, my war was rifled thru and my father-in-laws Audi A6 was stolen right in front of my house! Cops say its kids and it has been happening quite a bit lately. Not long ago Hobbyfish had his ride jacked and was later found about 5 miles down the road. The cops told Hobbyfish that it was likely gang related. The Audi has GPS tracking, Key FOB only start and a alarm system on it.........not entirley sure this is the work of kids!!!!!

My windows were open and the dog was sleeping in the front room and didn't make a peep, if these were kids, they were excellent theves.......

So what type of gun do you think I should get for home protection, I was thinking shotgun, one of my neighbors went and got one from his dads house.

Cops didn't get too excited or seem too concerned with the theft or the vandalism. I know they see this day in and out but obviously a pattern is emerging!

That stinks... hope they find you father-in-laws car and that it is OK.

The company where I work in murfreesboro (on Memorial, next to Murfreesboro airport) got broken into a month ago (over a weekend) - theives took a bunch of stuff. What a PITA that was. Cops laughed at me when I asked why they weren't fingerprinting anything. Evidentially, I watch too much TV!
 
They don't solve crimes anymore, They just take reports and go to the next crime and take another report. As you all know one of our members is a cop, And they go after Drug money not the drugs because there is no profit in siezing the drugs. When i thought about it they really don't care about the lives effected by the drugs just the CASH they can sieze for the county. If they targeted the drugs before they hit the streets our kids would not get hooked in the first place and the crime that is all drug related would go away. JMHO

Update: Car recovered after a high speed chase thru nashville, lavergne, and back to murfreesboro. Prints were taken. possible visual ID description. Also found out talking to the cops that there is a house full of gang members 3 bocks down, right next to a playground I and my wife have taken my daughter to before. I seem to remember there are at lease two other club members that live over here in this area. Just wanted to get the word out. Not feeling very safe tonight. Cops definetly did a good job, wish there would have been a way to find out about the gang activity before I moved here 3 years ago!
 
GLAD they got em!!! it such a shame that there is that in a nice place like Mboro. We had alot of drug sales in our old neighborhood, and from what i hear, it is going down hill a bit more since we left.

that said, i found out last weekend that Marion and Franklin Counties are the Meth making Capitals of TN. UGH. but strange enough, we have left the doors unlocked and even the garage door open and not worried about it much. living outside the city on a somewhat busy roadway may actually have its advantages.
 
im glad they were cought and i hope things can be brought under control there,sucks being in areas like that.....sean maybe ya should think of carring a sawed off shot gun lol just kidding kids....sawed off are illigal....wait is the metal pipe i have in the car illigal too?? lol hang in there sean ya'll pull through it,i'll be prayin for ya
 
Chuck, Cason lane area over behind the old time pottery place...If my geography is correct. not the boonies of the boro like you..BTW, that Bi-color is doing awesome.
 
I don't think they were caught since Sean said they got prints and a description. ;)

Really sorry to hear that, bro. That really sucks!

Anyone else hear the flushing sound that is Murfreesboro? Seems like Murfreesboro may be falling victim to its own success.

The boro is headed downhill, fast and hard. Little signs like the fact that they kicked my very violent cousin out of Smyrna and transfered him to Siegel is one bad omen. Then you have religious bigots that get national recognition for Murfreesboro, due to the Mosque issue. Seems like it should be in the top 10 cities to start a family...not.
 
yea i kinda was tired and read it wrong,sorry for that sean and yea me and my wife cant believe the bigotry going on out there,even bout the whole burning the qur'an what the crap...what if they started burning the bible can we say holy war the boro will be known in world history as the place where crap met da fan lol
 
yes, its getting a bit intresting out here. Yes these shenigians are happening behind kroger off old fort in the "new and expanding" part of the boro. Thats all my relator ever said about it. another omen or may be just a sign of the economy is that when I moved in most of the homes were owned, and in just 3 short years Id say about 40% are now renters. It makes me laugh that my HOA gets up my butt about cutting the grass and having the travel trailer parked in the driveway....Wonder if they send letters to the gang house about the busted up car parked ont he street or the long grass and their busted fence......I doubt they do. We are considering selling.
 
Well I think everyone knows Im the cop thats a member. I wont comment about the above post on how I do my job. Sounds like a quick judgement on limited information. I will say this is not the place to post on how I do my job. I wouldnt talk about someone else's job on here and would perfer not having mine on here either. I can assure all of you of one thing if I didnt care I wouldnt be doing it. I must say I am shocked at how its posted above but Im learning everyday not to be suprised so easy. Sean Im very sorry to hear about this stuff happening I hope they catch the scumbags.

Unfortunately gangs are EVERYWHERE now...and the low value they put on other's lives is shocking. The Tennessean did a really good series on it a few months ago that shows how widespread gangs are now in TN.

Also watching Gangland on the history channel a few months ago I was shocked when the show was based in Nashville profiling the brown pride gang. What was even more shocking was that the program actually seemed to glorify the members that were interviewed. The gang members seemed to think they "had arrived" because they were on TV.....sad, sad, sad.

if you ever notice when there is some sort of report or such about gangs from anything like street thugs to mafia members and drugs such as your simple weed sellers all the way to cocaine dealers they all seem to be glorified in some way,my stance on it is it seems to be a big problem with american journalism....basicaly the nature of the beast....lol let me shut up before i get all political lol (gets off his soap box)
