Ot catholic church ?

I second the basilica... and I'm not Catholic. It's worth the trip to Buffalo.

Theres sacred heart cathedral, its not big like the one above but its nice inside and its where the bishop resides. And a plus is its only a couple minutes from carib. forest, reef shoppe etc.

isnt there a nice big church next to strong hospital? I cant remember. You can do the Basilica then Botanical Gardens, then Niagara Falls.

If you end up wandering down to the Finger Lakes region, there is an interesting Catholic church in Naples. It is shaped like a grape leaf. If you look at it from a plane or helicopter, it even has "veins" I think. It has stained glass windows of all different colors in oval shapes (like grapes). It's beautiful when the sun shines through them. St. Januarius is the name. It is a pretty unique Catholic church.

If you go to the basilica in buffalo the botanical gardens it right across the street. It has a very nice indoor koi pond that is cared for by URS member PCKRAJ

thanks everyone, travel is tricky. the sacred heart sounds like a good local option. i'll try for buffalo as well

regarding the Basilica in Buffalo.....
this is the one you can see while travelling northward from the southtowns?

Coincidentally, I visited Sacred Heart this past spring.
I'm not Catholic and I had never been in that church before. It's beautiful.

Ya Sacred Heart was redone a little while back, i was confirmed there thats the only reason i had ever been in there, but as stated above it is beautiful.

Can be viewed from Rte 219 and the Interstate. You can see two of the green copper domes and in some spots the mail dome from the highways.

i'm not sure what sect of church it is...but the church that is on Plymouth Ave in the city...just south of Broad St...heading into Cornhill...is AMAZING. The rock work, the details...just beautiful. Also, St. Mary's. Across from Geva in the city. There is also a nice park there. St. Mary's is very, very pretty. Geva sometimes gives tours of the theater...which has an amazing history and two very active ghosts, trust me on this.

My friend "The Reverend", used to call Chippewa Street his "Church". He held mass faithfully every Thursday through Saturday. Evenings. Anywhere from 6pm to 4am. I enjoyed many-a-sermon.
