My wife and I are going to be priming and painting the ceilings and walls in our new place.

About 1500 sqft. Should we roll it or spray it? If spray which sprayer would be the most appropriate for this scale job?

Thanks
Ryan

Rolling works spraying is faster more consistent
Best tip rent a sprayer from your local paint shop not homedepot or lowes and ask for advice there

If you have a sprayer spray it. Faster and will be more even coating with no lines. Rolling will work, just alot more physical rolling upside down and the spatter all over you.

Roll it just get long enough poles so you aren't standing directly under where you are painting

The company I hired to paint my 1800 square foot home did not use anything except brushes and rollers they said the masking work you have to do with the sprayer eats up any time saving that you get from spraying and that most professionals will still back roll the sprayed areas to make sure the paint is evenly spread around

Agreed, cut and roll. Wash it first if you can and plan on 2 coats. Lay it off, so no fat edges aka roller marks. One room at a time. ha, yes wear a hat.

Hat CHECK LOL. Thanks everyone...and I'm sure it will look like we closed our eyes when we painted :D

You can wear safety glasses and keep your eyes open. Also if using a roller, roll it on tape first to get rid of the lint so it doesn't get on your wall.
