Very nice!!!

Saw some underwater lights at the boat show a few months ago and pics like that but wasn't sure how much of it was just advertizing hype. Sure looks like they are working for you.

What did you see for fish before installing these lights?
Did you have a regular snook light out before? and how do they comapare? Makes me want to go out and install some right away. What kind of lights are they?

I nominate Hawk'ster to hold the next TBRC meeting in the eveing. Fishing poles required.

yes yes but without the fishing poles-let me know Paul when you want to host-I have july open:D

I've been wanting to put out a snook light for a while and have been debating one of the underwater type. Been debating if the new low wattage PC type bulbs, would work for above water but like the idea of the submerged type. I like that earie green glow look with the snook Silhouetted. I'd love to put one off the corner of the dock and one off of the sea wall out on the point.

What type of light is it? What is the wattage? does it have a transformer? Do they float and are they waited to the bottom.

I can tell you about the light it is a mercury vapor bulb that is about 175 watts and it has a transformer that converts from 120 to 220. They are weighted with a 20oz weight on the bottom of the bulb. They come from a guy that is friends with my father in law. There are about 70 of them in my fathers neighborhood so if you sell them to your neighbors then I figure then they are good enough to sell to some to my friends. I can meet anybody from fort myers to to st pete. If you are interested pm me

OMGosh!!!!! OMGOsh!!!! I seriously have dreams about that...no kidding! I got to go night fishing a few times when I lived in Stuart and we'd go dock to dock on the boat (just north of West Palm), and I lived on a boathouse in college and we'd put lights out, and OMGOSH....that is so awesome! Very jealous..and happy for you! Fish on! Have fun! You're a lucky guy!

never had a snnok light before. A couple of neighbors and there are few fish lingerring around but nothing like this.

In my canal there are reds/snook/trout/macks when they run/sheepshead/black drum. This light blows away any light that over hangs the water IMO.

BlueCoast....it is over by McDill, do you know where the firing range is? :D

ladyfsu...Thank you I love living on the water.

Sue....I am on Vacation in July. We will talk at teh meeting.

Check your local regulations, I know that down here it is unlawful to use any type of underwater light in the taking of fish from the waters of Charlotte County. I have to get by with the old fashioned snook light. But if I could I would have an underwater light in a second, if only for the cool look of it.
