OT computer Help

Well got home yesterday and my computer wont boot up. Running windows XP. the computer keeps getting to the screen where you get options to start in safe mode, normal, etc. does not matter what you pick it then re-starts and you end up back at the same place.

Any ideas

How long after you pick one of the modes does it restart? Do you ever see anything on the screen after the big wall of text scrolls by, or does it reboot even before that?

What has changed recently (in last week or so)?

Do you have the OEM Windows CD? You can boot from the CD and do get to the prompt and try sfc /scannow for starters

Jorge I am sure that Roger can work it out for you other than that you can call Steve and maybe you could bring the tower this sat and he could fix it for you.

To answer questions no changes except the wife was on the computer during the day.

The sytem will display the big wall of text after selecting a mode then pause a few seconds and restart.

thought about trying the system recovery cd but it said it would wipe the drive.

Anyways Blake said he would stop buy on Thursday and give it a crack.

The good thing for me some people dont fix computers otherwise I would starve :sad1: LoL anyways Id be glad to take a trip to you and give you a hand.

Been there... make that 2 reefers ..... but on the bright side.. pretty sure you can hook a USb in to the PS3 .. hook your keyboard in to it ..
