Hello So. Cal reefers,

I just bought a condo in So. Pasadena thats needs alittle remodeling/upgrading and now Im looking for a contractor. I figured I'll check here first before I start hitting the yellow pages :) Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Gabe

Check Angie's List for recomendations on contractors. Its kinda like a user based review on contractors. You'll be able to tell the good ones from the bad.

I used it for my remodeling jobs and always had really good results with the people I hire.

The only bad thing is that you have to pay for the year subscription but it's well worth it and saves you money and headaches with bad contractors. I got it for one year free becuase of a promotional deal.

Oh, you can also check the BBB the the people you plan to hire.

why not do it yourself? Your local hardware stores have employees that are always willing to help - I use the term always loosely ... :)

what are you looking to get done? i use contractors depending on their specialty.

oh, and welcome to the wonderful world of home ownership.

I have a brother-in-law that does this kind of work. He is a contractor and can give you a really good deal. If interested, shoot me a PM and I will let him know.

Hello All,

Not trying to steal this thread, but I am in need of someone for drywall work (install and finishing). I am located in the San Fernando Valley (Van Nuys). Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Kelly
