My mother has an aging redwood deck (approx 20 years old). It is in need of repair/restoration and has reached the point where I know its not safe. Since she lives alone with her dogs, I'm always concerned that something will happen if she steps in the wrong place.
Since she's not in position to afford the repairs, I'd really like to get involved. Consider it a special mothers day gift.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction in terms of a resource in the area. If possible, I'd like to be involved/help in the work, so that I can minimize the cost as my pockets are limited. I'm not looking for a handout, just some creativity in the logistics so I can make things safe again.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
