OT: Do you believe in Ghosts, or shutter speeds?

I'm posting this here because.. well.. I'm not too sure why. If any of you are familiar with facebook.com (basically myspace.com for college kids, at least originally) I have a friend who posted these two pictures.

They were taken in Ecuador and they seem to be circulating and scaring people, they are convinced that the second picture is proof that ghosts exist. Me? Well, nice camera effect :)

The first pic, all is good, nothing haunted about this pic.

But, oh my! All of a sudden a ghost seems to have appeared on the film/sensor.

I agree- slow shutter speed leaves a blurry ghost image like that. Besides, the "ghost" doesn't look creepy at all

slow shutters can produce some freaky pictures (i've played around with shutter timings a lot in dark rooms) very cool picture though.

I like how the dog doesn't seem to have moved his head at all from the first to second pic. Even though a person walked up and likely patted its head, it didn't move (at least not for long).

For this reason, I'll admit there is some sort of surreal feeling to these images.

i thought the same but if you look there is a slight shadow ring going around the dog which makes me think he moved just not a whole lot.
