OT: Finger lakes rentals

Anyone have any opinions or hook ups?

Wanted Owasco but everywhere is booked. We need a fairly large place. 4 couples. 6 kids although 5 of the 6 are under 3 and 2 of those kids are under 1.

I like Owascos proximity to home and auburn for restaurants and assorted sundries.

Looks like we're going to have to get stuck with Seneca. I'm not too familiar with it, but it is obviously much larger. The shorelines all seem to be break walls which make me nervous with toddlers around. No one wants to hear kerplunk!

Skaneateles Lake is by far the quietest and there are some big places on the south end that are always for rent. You can go a whole day without seeing a boat. Not to mention there is some pretty good fishing.

There is a place called cobtree.com. It is a couple of miles down the west side of Seneca Lake. Its not on the lake, but has Lake view. The property has several houses on it that are very new. The yards are big. Near alot of wineries etc. Check out the website. We do alot of weddings there.

Skaneatles check out lourdes camp. The lodge there is nice and big.

We've been going to Keuka Lake for the past 15 years. It's a beautiful lake with GREAT fishing. Wineries too.

Captain Jacks has a million dollar view, lotsa of lawn for the kids to play, no deep water. Unfortunately, only accomodates 2 families.

I appreciate the input. We are most likely going Seneca. I live like 15 minutes from Skaneatles. GORGEOUS water. The people and the town drive me INSANE! Certain type of folks out there. Plus cottages/camps fetch a much higher price.
