Anyone here also run freshwater tanks? If so feel free to share pics. I currently run 5 freshwater tanks and 1 saltwater tank. 1 is a 55 gallon amazon blackwater tank dedicated to south american cichilds and bueonos aires tetras. I am using driftwood and indian almond leaves to give the water a tea color and to soften the water. I also run a 40 gallon breeder that has 2 breeding angel fish, 2 cory cats, 1 bristle nose pleco and 4 neon tetras. My pride and joy are my planted tanks. I have a 38 gallon co2 injected tank that is mostly German blue rams along with a convict and firemouth cichlid. The other planted tanks is a co2 injected 25 gallon cube that houses neon tetras, cardinals, white clouds, amano shrimp and red cherry shrimp. My last fresh water tank is a 20 gallon that currently has an apistogramma (dwarf cichlid) and 3 cory cats.

Just started a 75g planted tank. Still getting plants. I used MGOPM and capped it. First time using dirt so this should be interesting.

sounds good. do you plan on using co2? I just finished setting up my 55 gallon amazon themed tank filled with some tetras, bolivian rams and 2 geophagus.

I'm using Excel now. If the plants grow and look healthy,I'll be happy.
I don't need pearling or super lush growth.

I have two cichlid tanks besides my reef tank. Ones a 90gal mixed with severums, geophagus, blue rams, loaches and kribs. The other is a 75gal Tanganyika with black calvus, cyprochromis leptosoma, lamprologus occelotus and loaches. I also have a 20 long with occelotus fry. Its definitely a different game then the salt but I don't think I'll ever give it up.
